Agrisos SRL wascreated in August, 2001 with the aim of exporting a wide range ofagricultural products produced in the region of Santa Cruz,Bolivia. Since then, it has exported sesame, corn, soybeans, beansetc. to diverse markets such as Brazil, Japan, Colombia, Spain andso on.We work with localsmall and medium producers of agricultural products, to which weprovide certified natural seeds, capacity building and advancepayments. We then buy their production in order to sell it on bothlocal and international markets. Our activity thus benefits tolocal communities by alleviating the inherent uncertaintyassociated with the production of agriculturalgoods.During its first twoyears of existence, Agrisos SRL also exported 10.000MT of sugar onbehalf of Industrias Agricolas de Bermejo (IABSA SA). Meanwhile, itreached new markets such as Colombia, to which it exported beans(Nima Variety and Othebo). In 2003, Sesame Seed Bol-Export SRL, abranch of Agrisos SRL, was created with the objective of exportingsesame to Japan. Thanks to exceptional crop yields, Sesame Seedmanaged to export a significant quantity to the latter market, butalso to other international markets.From 2004, Agrisosinvested in a new warehouse in Montero (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) whereagricultural products are stocked, transformed and ultimately soldto both local and international markets. A few years later,machinery was purchased in order to turn soybeans and sesame intoflour, and sell it to local markets. We currently plan to exportthis product.From 2013, Agrisosbegan consolidating with Sesame Seed, which merger should beachieved in early 2015. It has also started the production of chiaseeds that is mainly sold on local markets, but for which it wouldbe eager to export to the European as well as the North-Americanmarkets.Our offer iscurrently composed of the following products:- Beans: fourdifferent varieties- Sesame seeds : twodifferent varieties-Soybeans- ChiaseedsIt is worth pointingout that we also propose sesame and chia in flour and oil. Ourproducts exhibit a high degree of purity (>99%). We valuesustainable and environmental-friendly working practices withinlocal communities, and we favour the hiring of women for theprocessing of the agricultural goods. Agrisos SRL has also beenpart of a program of reforestation where the production had damagedthe lands. We plan to get certifications of organic production andfair trade in 2015.Our team is composedof experienced agronomists and economists who have been performingthis type of activity for more than twenty years in the Santa Cruzdepartment in Bolivia. In collaboration with other Boliviancompanies, we created the CABEXSE, which is the Commerce Chamber incharge of gathering sesame exporting companies and publishing dataon production, yields etc.In 2013, Agrisos SRLcommercialized a total value of $5.000.000 of agricultural goods,and plans to sell annualy an overall quantity of approximately3.500TM for the years coming. This quantity should be graduallyincreased, especially thanks to our new products such as chiaseeds, sesame oil etc.
