Agri-tech International Nepal has been registered as private comany to dealwith marketing of agricultural commodities both at domestic and international markets. The company is owned by both professional agriculturists, Cooperative Leaders and Small Producer Farmers. Agritech was registered in 2010 and just started its operation from this cropping season in few districts in Nepal. We are planning to reach out to 5000 small farmers within two years and cover 10 - 15 high value crops. As private company 51 per cent share is woned by individuals and 49 per cent by farmers cooperatives and NGOs which are providing technical and material support to small producer farmers to grow organic products and cooperatives collects the products at village level and supply to Agri-tech. Agritech takes the lead in processing and marketing business. The profits earned through marketing business of Agri-tech is transparently shared with the primary producers through cooperatives. Therefore, we prefer to deal with fairtrade groups and cooperatives worldwide.
