Plasticos Novel do Nordeste S.A. was founded in 1975 by its current President and CEO, the economist Luiz Antonio de Oliveira in partnership with a group holding the Pepsi-Cola franchise for the State of Bahia. Novel has two industrial units in Brazil. We specialized in injected plastic products and our products range includes personal protection items such as Safety Helmets, Face Shields and Ear Muffs. Many of these have been approved as meeting international standards such as CE (Europe), ANSI (USA, Australia), and CSA (Canada). In addition, we manufacture various standard and innovative products such as Restaurant Table Services Signs, Door Protectors, Plastic Floors and Ceilings, Thermal Boxes and Signs and Signals, as well as vehicle parts for Ford under special order, and we are pleased to cater to customers known for their standards of excellence world-wide such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola and Ambev. We export regularly to such destination as Australia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia and Angola, and in Brazil we are the market leaders in the products we make, with an annual production capacity of over 10,000 tons of plastic materials, generating some 350 direct jobs. At Novel, we offer a wide range of multi-trip plastic boxes and crates for the transportation and storage of food and non-food products, with special advantages of low weight, stability, strength, and hygiene.
