New Pac originally was generated out of a development and sales company, dealing with plastic packaging films and machinery systems since1984. In 1988, the Swedish Defense Material Ad¬ministration, FMV, ordered New Pac to deliver 79.000 C-Cover S/89 to the Swedish Air Force, before the end of June 1989. Already in May, 1989, FMV ordered another 500.000 C-Covers S/89.Based upon nearly 40 years of documented polymer film material knowledge, New Pac Safety AB, today are a development, production and sales company, producing many different types of disposable, Plastic Protective Garments, in large scale, serial production, for Military and Civilian Services worldwide.New Pac Safety AB has specialized in different types of patented protective garments, made of co-extruded multilayer thermoplastic film, with excellent barrier properties, to protect against all known Chemical Warfare Agents, for more than 10 hours, and against the most common Hazardous Chemicals and Flammable Solvents, for more than 4 hours.During 1990-92, New Pac Safety AB had full production of the Swedish disposable NBC survival aid, the C-Cover S/89. So far, nearly 1.000.000 garments have been delivered.In parallel with this, New Pac Safety developed new products, based upon the same sealing and production technology, new, patented garment designs and new, multilayer barrier film formulations.This resulted in the "C-Cover Dress"- concept, which generated a design development period, with products, designated according to what actual year they were born. For Military Services, we devel¬oped the S/90, S/91, S/93, and the S/95 versions, which finally resulted in a big contract with FMV 1997, the military NBC garment designated C-Cover Dress S/97 -L, -XL.1991, New Pac Safety AB also introduced a similar garment, based upon a transparent, double barrier film, for Civilian Services, efficient enough to protect against most common Hazardous Chemicals and Flammable Solvents, for more than 4 hours. This product has been carefully tested and was CE-certified in May, 1998, but it is still called Chemi Cover Dress C/91 and C/91R.Another concept, also born 1991, was the Poncho N/60, started with an inquiry from the Nor-wegian Army. New Pac has supplied big quantities of poncho samples, with different designs and film materials, ie Borstar; Poncho NP/60.Spin off products, as a consequence off the New Pac product range above, are also C-Cover Gloves, to be supplied with some of the garments, the Military Service Kit KS/97, and the civilian version, the Anti-Terrorist Kit KS/89, both kits containing S/97- and/or S/89-garments, protective mask, filter, detection paper, auto injector with atropine and decontamination powder.In 2004 we were quality certified according to SS-EN ISO 9001:2000.
