  • Company Introduction

Welcome to Lumbini Handicraft and our web shop lumbinimart.com Through many years of kind support, we are the largest US Mala Shop on the internet, thank you! Our small artisan company of meditation practitioners are from the Rocky Mountains of Boulder, Colorado. We offer personalized prayer bead designs and a vast selection of ready to ship malas. We have been handcrafting malas since 1994, and take great care in creating each and every piece. Our malas can be made one at a time, to order. We use real, semiprecious stones*, fine authentic sandalwoods and ambers, as well as traditional Tibetan Bodhi Seeds. which is used by various cultures such as Asian, Anatolian, Ottoman, Turkish, Greek, Middle East, African and Indian to count the repetitions of prayers, for repetition of the same devotion a number of times, for meditation, protection from negative energy and to relieve stress.
Orders are processed through the Boulder County Mental Health Center work program. Enjoy our site, and we'd really love to hear from you anytime with questions, comments.

All of the full sized (108 bead) Buddhist malas that we hand craft, here in the US, are offered a complimentary mala bag, and are finished with an authentic three holed guru bead and tassel. Handicraft's malas are then carefully packaged. It is traditional to have your mala blessed by your spiritual teacher if you have one. From time to time, you can "purify" your mala by holding it over burning incense, a native American Sage smudge-stick or juniper.
