Ariven means one who has awakened in the Southern Indian language of Tamil. Ariven Planet was born from a deep desire to create intelligent, self-sustaining, eco-friendly animal sanctuaries that provide the highest quality, food products for humans while nourishing the Earth for future generations. This vision was formed when the founder of Ariven Planet, Adiphen Bose (also known as Nandhi) was a boy. As a child, Nandhi was pained to see occassional trucks full of cows, bulls and buffaloes headed to the slaughterhouses in Southern India. He was also frustrated to see vast areas of land go unused while millions of people were starving. Nandhis childhood dream was to simultaneously save the lives of discarded animals while creating large, eco-friendly farms that grew all-natural foods the way nature intended; using a portion of the farm harvests to feed the hungry. This dream became a reality in April 2013 when the first prototypesanctuary began development in Southern India near the border ofKerala. During this process, Nandhi brought in his close friend,Ananda Prateeka, to become his business partner so that they couldboth make the Ariven vision a reality. Together they launched thefirst two phases of the Ariven sanctuary and created Ariven Planetto serve as the engine behind it.
