POLAT S.A. was founded in 1970 and at present is one of the most dynamic and export-oriented Greek companies, producing and trading for 40 years a wide range of building materials and complete systems (industrial, decorative and sports floorings, waterproofing materials, strengthening and repairing materials,
concrete and mortar additives, paints and varnishes, premixed plasters, mortars and putties, tile adhesives and grouts etc.).
Operating under the requirements of ISO 9001/2000 for production, trade and also application, we make sure our products are first applied successfully (and repeatedly) at site by our own people before we launch them abroad. Therefore, our systems have all stood the real life test and this is one of our main assets, enabling us to provide full and vertical technical support from design to final
application plus supervision when required.

The company, being one of the pioneer companies in the sector of building materials and giving particular attention to providing a fully upgraded range of products and services, created in 2001 a new modern production plant of 5.000 sqm in Lakkoma, Chalkidiki close to Thessaloniki. Moreover, an extension of 2000 sqm for the production of our new range of polyurethane products and for additional warehousing capacity has just been realized, further integrating our product portfolio and customer service.
Apart from the materials of production, POLAT S.A. trades and represents renowned international companies in products such as PVC floorings for commercial uses, linoleum, parquet, laminate, safety tiles, etc.

The main goal of POLAT S.A. in its quest to always stand out in the international competitive environment is to ensure the standard superior quality of its products and services. To this end, the company has been implementing a quality management system encompassing the production and trade of its products and systems, as well as the installation of sports, decorative and industrial flooring and waterproofing systems, which is certified according to ISO 9001:2000 since 2004.
POLAT S.A. has obtained in 2007 the CE marking for a selection of concrete & mortar additives it produces, according to European Norm 89/106/EEC. The CE marking states that the certified product fulfils all the European regulations for health, safety and environmental protection, allowing it to be introduced and traded freely between the European Union member states. POLAT S.A., after many years of flawless applications and ever-growing exports of great volumes of its flagship wet-pour acrylic sports system ELASTOSPORT 853 + ELASTOTURF 851 in a number of countries, has proceeded in successfully certifying it with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) in 2006, renewing the certification ever since. All the time, the company applies over 200,000 sqm of the aforementioned sports system in Greece every year, making it by far the most preferred system of its kind in the sports flooring field.
Moreover, the company has developed some years ago its wet-pour playground system SAFEPOL SYSTEM 859, which was certified with the LNE Institute in France in 2003 according to EN 1177 (related to safety regulations).
